Back off on the carbs. The carbs you should eat should be low gi carbs. No pasta, breads, potatoes, corn, carrots and sugar. These all spike insulin.
You have not posted in a while. Nice to see you back mate. I remebered you had some good stats.

most of your carbs should be eaten from waking up untill afternoon and not really after this. If they are slow burning carbs you shouldnt need to eat any after this time.

What you are asking is impossible.....

How can you expect to lose fat and not lose weight?

I appreciate you are a Football-Player and you guys have weight targets to hit but just because you weigh more doesn't necessarily mean you are automatically stronger or more powerful, your body composition determines that. Look at Warick Dunne; he only weighs 180lbs but pound-for-pound he is one of the most powerful guys in the NFL.

IMO you can't gain lean mass and lose fat at the same time, they require drastically different dieting techniques and trying to achieve both together will just be a waste of time and effort.

Concentrate on one thing at a time and stick to it, your body can't multi-task.

Best of luck, Jock

just eat healthy and clean, cut out junk food and alcohol

dont complicate things or cut carbs back too much for your sport

even when eating healthy, dont over eat carbs and fats

Possibly I'm wrong as no-one else has commented on this, but I think that would be a bad idea. You wouldn't want the carbs in a weight gainer just before going to bed, as they'll mostly end up as fat I think.

Well im assuming that what ur actually after is to lose the fat but keep the lean bodymass?

Because has Jock has pointed out you cant lose the fat weight and replace it with muscle at the same time.

With this assumption in mind then all i can do is reiterate the coments above, obviously eat clean and avoid empty calories such as alcohol. Also as said take most of your carbs in early in the day so they are burned up before you go to bed and cant turn to fat while you sleep.

The weight gain is not a good idea because of the carbs, but no reason at all you cant have a low carb protein shake before bed to stop you going into a catabolic state.

Didn't pick up on that. That in itself would pack the fat on.......nice post there Ultrasonic;)
The carbs you eat should be low GI carbs for now. Dont do the carb load thing. Your not a marathon runner
Instead of the weight gainer shake eat a meat or cottage cheese before bed time. Second best would be a protein shake. Actually the protein shake should be one that sticks to the bones so to speek. Whey is fast, milk and egg is slower, and soy is even slower. Soy is good for breast cancer in women and also Jack LaLanne drinks it every morning when he wakes up. He is over 80!
