Re: MY DIET!!

I'm still learning the in's and outs of all aspects of the diet but I lost a fair bit of weight without even trying all through the magical power of fibre. Will make you feel fuller, fuller for longer and has health benefits to digestive system. As a side you'll find foods higher in fibre are slower burning and have a low rating on the glycemic index.

Looking and what you normally eat there is not an overwhelming ammount of fibre in the diet. Should be hitting at least 24g of fibre per day. Put in perspective a half a pizza will have about 4g (rough guess). I found just trying to hit the 24g a day made me eat better because it's mainly found in healthy foods.

If you can start eating brown breads, brown rice, veg, wholemeal pasta and you'll soon get it up. But easiest way to get in the full ammount would be your breakfast. All Bran is excellent. 2 small bowls a day or 1 big bowl will get you the minimum ammount of fibre you need.

Will let the others educate you on protein, fats and carbs

Re: MY DIET!!

Your diet is shocking.

Use the search button to read and inform yourself about all the info is there it is just a case of finding it.

No-one is going to write you out a personlised diet and I'm not trying to be harsh but why should they?

It is up to YOU to read up and inform yourself instead of getting someone else to do it for you.

In a nutshell you need to make better choices, get your carbs from wholemeal sources and veg, protein from lean meat, eggs etc and fat from oily fish, nuts etc

You are very young so this is the best time to get into a lifetime habit of healty diet and exercise because there is only one way you will go if you keep up your current diet.

Re: MY DIET!!

I agree with Jock, there are lots of good articles around that you can read, which should be able to put you in the right direction without expecting other people to do it for you.

not remember how school was?? Jamie Oliver highlighted it superbly. It's the crap they serve nowadays.

My school day: I used to skip breaky walk to school, eat packet crisp, can of drink and choc for lunch, food at 6.30 in the evening and that was it.

Then again I used to weigh 11- 11.5st upon leaving a levels.
