It's bad and avoid it all costs... Regular coke has Sugar and Diet coke has aspartame. You loose either way!!

![]() | Re: Aspertame its no just for that reason that it should be avoided,i recently read n article about aspantame that claims it has side effects that can leave you like an MS sufferer as the symptoms are the same if taken in large amounts so sure any alternative would be better |

Anyway when on it I recall have terrible migrains. A colleague being nosey was reading the box while I was out of the office and when I came back told me off about Aspartame. She asked me have I been having headache. I said yeah I had been having terrible migraines and she said that's a classic side effect of the stuff. I was having about 2 sachets a day of the stuff. Lifestyle wise I living close to work in Sutton, nice casualy dressed job earning really good money and 15 minute commute to work so I was relaxed and not stressed at all. I stopped the Met-Rx sachets and migraines went. I dont normally get migraines?

The studies when scrutinised are quite unreliable. As per usual they are carried out on rats. A significant increase in carcinogenic qualities was only seen at exceptionally high doses. I can't remember the numbers but per lb of body weight it was massive. for a human to eat as much would be close to impossible. So, feel free to have the odd sweetener in your tea ;-)
