Loosing Weight For Summer

I am currently 15 stone 5 pounds, and 6ft 2, what do you think is a realistic amount of weight to use by say july time, i am hoping 3 stone but would that be unrealistic, any advice?

Erm...

How fat are you...?

6ft 2in - you'd look like a skinny rake at 12st mate...

Are you training at all...?

thats what i was thinking i am 6ft2 and i weigh 18stone and i am not fat, 15st has to be about right for 6'2

i am quite fat i would say ye, im doing abit of traning on the weights machines yes, any advice then on how much to loose?, and how long it take?

Without knowing your body fat, no.

15stone is about the right weight I'd say.

Post up your routine and diet - I'm sure we can help get you less fat for your July holiday, but without loosing too much weight.

well i go the gym 3 times a week, do 45 mins cardio and about 30mins on the weight machines as the gym i go to dosent have free weights, and my diet is ,

cereal in the morning
2 sandwiches with chineese chicken on for dinner, chrisps
and my tea is either pasta, lasagna, stair fri, chilli

but of a weekend i totally binge on ale and junk,

crisps for a start, you are not eating nearly enough food, try eating porridge in morning and eating a small amount of food every 2-3 hours, i would go for

1st meal porridge
2nd protein shake
3rd/lunch chicken sandwich wholemeal bread
4th protein shake
5th/dinner chicken/fish/steak with veg

just a basic idea but with 30-40mins cardio 4-5 times a week the fat should come off pretty quick imo

and stop drinking alcohol or at least cut right down, try to keep the diet clean at weekends too

what is your body type?
and with training and diet dont be shocked if your weight goes up,as 15 stone does seem about right for your height.

thanks for the help , but if i have protein shakes , i wont be loosing weight will i, and even though it might sound the right weight i look flabby so maybe just cardio and toning is needed?

Ignore the weight. You want to loose body fat and put on muscle.

oooo is that how it works mate, thanks, so in effect dont go by the scales?, so if i stuck to that diet basically and done enough cardio and machine weight i wont put on any weight

Go by the mirror and the measuring tape.

Your waist wasnt to be getting marginally smaller each week, and you want to be getting stronger each week in your lifts.

Thats a very very basic way of doing it - I've had to put it that way to try and get you to ignore this 3 stone of weight loss idea.
