24 hour day... diet help please....

This is something that has been bugging me for a while now...

Every 8 days I have to do a 24 hour day. Today is one of those days....

Let me explain...

I work permanent nights, 4 on 4 off...

Because I am still in day mode, I have woken up at 7:30am, fed the kids... had a meal myself...

Now if I eat every 2-3 hours by the time I get to work at 7pm I will have had 5/6 meals, reached my 2000 cals for the day yet still have 12 hours to stay awake. If my eating continues then in total over the 24 hour period I will have eaten 4-5000 calories. I get to bed around 9am and then wake up at 2:30 on a schoolday (lie in tomorrow though being sunday.) to get the kids from school. I then start the eating again at 5pm, sitting down with the family before I head off to work with my last meal being 5am.

My weight loss is slowly happening, it would be quicker if I did more cardio but that is my fault, but I was wondering if it was better to average the calories on a weekly basis or to continue with the daily totals?

Alright slamdog

If i was dieting i would set myself daily calorie amounts and try to stick to it. Try and eat less when your awake during the day so you can eat when you are working. Also have you tried any fat burners they could help.

Re: 24 hour day... diet help please....

I generally stick to my 2000 cal limit. it is only the one day in 8.... my concern was going into starvation mode by not eating (effectively from the previous evening to the start of night shift) or eating enough to stave off the hunger pangs whilst keeping the metabolism going without going overboard.

If I thought about it hard enough, the 1 in 8 could be my 'cheat day' so to speak, where I consume more than normal to bring up the leptin levels whilst still eating clean...

Fat burners... yep.. tried quite a few... hotrox, eph25+, inferno... with all of them I have yet to notice a difference between having them and not having them unless I overdose them to feel an effect.

Clen appears to work at 120mcg (just on an off cycle now for a fortnight) but realistically how much is fat loss from diet and how much is composition change from the clen.

I really must find somewhere who can do accurate body measurements regularly for me to actually see any changes..... my gym does a full check for 50 quid but I think that is ott for regular measurements....

I have changed size and shape for sure, but a) not as quickly as I would like and b) i still personally think in my head that i'm a blob from outer space and i am unlikely to see my abs ever.

The not quickly enough.... I know it takes time really, I'm changing 40 years of yo-yo diets, bad eating and general inactivity to try and get lean but looking back over the last year losing 20kg isn't that bad.. but like everything... I wish it was quicker....
