Body fat %

Is it easier to lower your body fat when your lighter or larger? Or in other words do you have to lose less weight to get your % down whe your already quite low? I know it sounds stupid but I was talking with someone about this and I thought the bigger you were the fast your % would go down and he thought the lighter if someone could settle this I would be great full.

Re: Body fat %

The key word is percentages. A guy 5 stone over weight will more than likely lose more weight than a guy 1 stone over weight over a shorter period, but this may not workout at a higher percentage.

I think as a rule bigger(inc people with large volumes of muscle mass)/fatter people will lose more weight and in a shorter period of time compared to a smaller guy doing the same cardio, diet etc...although, everyone is different. I believe its generally down to calorie intake and the amount (and types) of cals needed to maintain a given body weight.
