Weights for Fat Loss

Hi

Can someone tell me which is the most effective way to lose fat through using weights? Focusing on a body part each day for 6 days or doing a whole body routine each day for 6 days? I am a boxer and am trying to make a weight unfortunately I cant train at the moment due to a knee injury.

Any help would be great

Cheers

With some intensity weight training will raise IGF-1 and testosterone. After about an hour those both will lower and cortisol will raise.

Lifting weights will support not only your muscle but also your hormones if done with a certain amount of intensity.

Muscle is a very hungry tissue, so the more muscle you have, your metabolic rate increases.

So yes, building muscle is a good way to lose BODY FAT.

Muscle, however weighs more than FAT so weight often increases with serious weight training or bodybuilding.

Good post, I like the term hungry tissue, one tissue (burns fuel), the other (fat) is stored fuel.

Lifting weights burns more fat than cardio, and will improve the shape of your body.

I like to say weight training will make a woman curvy and shapely all over, even her ARMS get curves!

I now 'save' my cardio for the serious fat burning to drop to less than 10 % for comps.

Otherwise, now I do keep cardio to a minimum, but I do love to run.

My new breasts don't!
