Cool muscle building and weight lose

Im looking for some advice.

Ive recently started body building but need to loose some weight. Is it impossible to build and loose inches in the areas not being built (ie waist) or is it a case of loose weight then start building.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jo xx

as muscle mass increases the amount of calories required to stay alive also increases so an increase in muscle should equal a decrease in body fat or in my case an increase in muscle equals eat everything i see end up having to use paint to hide my love handles for my avatar!
