Post How To Cut? - (Posting here as it is more general as i dont wanna just look at diet)

Ok, going on holiday soon wanna look my best.

I'd post in individual forums but it would be hard collating data and then comparing to other ideas, e.g posting in diet, then posting in routine.

I just wanna shed everything.. (yes alot easier said than done) will change my diet and routine totally, if that means going running everynight for a hour or more so be it. All advice and comments welcome

i have moved this to the losing weight forum because diet is normally the most important factor when trying to lose weight..

so how long before your holiday?
what is your current weight?
what is your current diet?
how much cardio do you do?
how many times per week do you train?
what supplements are you taking?
Are you taking any AAS?

Well, i would shoot for 6 meals a day and this will help keep your metabolism running fast.

Eat within 30 minutes apon awakening.

you can do one of two things, cut the carbs and up the fats for a month, then add carbs in slowly or

You can adjust your macros to allow for a lower carb or low glycemic carbs instead.

I think you can have proteins, fats, and carbs together in about the same ratio, eat more vegetables and fruits and drop the breads, sugar, rice, pasta and that but instead eat fruits and vegetables.

So that protein shake in the morning add an apple and some fish oils.

your chicken salad, add olive oil to that

if you are going to go low carb you have to up the fats, this does two things, one it tells the body to switch off the carb burning machine and switch to the fat burning machine.
This is perferred if you want to lose bodyfat.

Id keep those shakes to a minimum if you are dieting whey shakes can raise insulin if taken by them selves, or you can add fish oils to them and slow down the absorpton and get that fat we were talking about in there.
1 scoop of protein add 2 to 3 fish oils, depending on the amount of protein.

You can do it without cardio too I am doing it and am going to add cardio after I hit my target weight.
you dont have to do cardio to lose bodyfat.
When I am dieting and do cardio I am not as strong in the gym.

Sure, add some nuts, fish like Salmon to your diet, avacado but there are carbs in those but they are very wholesome, olives, olive oil (extra vergin), natural peanut butter, etc.

after the expert advice i had off here, the best thing i came up with to add too my shakes was mixed seeds and an apple.

like hacksii said, add fats to the shake, seeds are ideal as there paked with good fat, protein and vitamins.

supermarkets sell mixed seeds, next to the nut selection. they arnt very nice like but thats not the point.

theyre good to snack on aswell and fill you up pretty quick
