7lbs weight loss since monday?

Im not sure how i feel about this but heres basically what ive been doing.

Ive been reading about carb cycling so thought i would give it ago.

Monday i ate normally (well crap actually id let the diet clip over christmas and been pretty sloppy since).

I got on the scales after training chest and biceps on moday night and i weighed in at 188lbs , Heaviest ive been for a while, but id been getting comments on how lean i looked.. while training infact someone actually asked me if i had been dieting.

When i got home i thought it was time to give the carb cycling ago and see what i could get off.

Tuesday and wednesday consisted on virtually no carb days, heres what i had eaten.

Breakfast - Protein shake and 2 tea spoons of flaxseed oil. (on tuesday i added a bowl of fruit and fibre to this)

First break in work - 50g of turkey, 1 boiled egg and an apple.

lunch - tuna salad box with a boiled egg (tuna, lettuce, tomato, onion, coleslaw)

last break - 50g turkey, a boiled egg and an apple.

after training i had PWO shake and then a chicken omlette for tea.

I did an hours cardio tuesday and 30 minutes before my shoulder and tricep workout wednesday, i weighed myself on wednesday night at 181lbs.

I have had a carb up day today, done an hours cardio tonight in the gym and now weigh 182lbs.

I can feel myself getting tighter and my top 4 abs are coming out nicely.

Some of you may think im not eating enough, but i am am probably eating more frequently doing this.

opinions?

Sure, when dieting (especially reducing carbs) your body gives up water.
Reason for this is due to the fact carbs hold 6 times the water as fats.
Probably lost some fat but mostly water.
This is one reason why I actually like low carb eating and dieting.
It helps control insulin and beings insulin is a storage/transport hormone, fat loss wont happen till you get this under control.

As Hacks said the initilal weight loss is mostly lost glycogen and water.. I lost 10lbs the first week...

Your weight will flustuate a lot when carb cycling, I can easily put on 7-8lbs overnight after the high carb day. For that reason its important to measure at the same point every week, eg morning after your low carb day.

Actually your better off throwing the scales away and getting some body fat calipers, or just going buy the mirror..

Carb cycling is excelent IMO, but remember the high carbs days are every bit as important to success as the low carb days. So dont even think about restricing the carbs on these days, or throwing in extra low carb days as its counter productive...

Think i'll have ago at this diet. Got my ECA stack on the way so that should help things along.

I dont know whether to go full out cardio for the duration of the diet or do weights and cardio (cardio would not be as long tho) ?

After a workout, that is better.
You will slip into fat loss better.
Plus you will need your glycogen for the weights.

Lean

This maybe totally irrelevant but as a natural im dieting for june but in a month and just under 2 weeks I have lost 15pounds fat and a wee bit of water. Please somebody tell me how you are all losing 9pounds in 4 days and 10pounds in a week. What foods are you eating.

My diet morning breakfast burgen linseed and soya bread only been for 8days of it this week mainly oats 20grams

mid morn 10-11am 4-6nuts 500ml water

lunch brown rice kidneys or peppers chicken leg skinless dried out 30-50grams 500ml

4pm-5pm nuts 500ml to a litre

workout 6-8 1litre water

dinner same as lunch but may add more veg or swap chicken with tuna litre water

bed 500ml-litre water with 2nuts (in shells so therefore 2 shells)

I seem to falter on the weekends and eat to much.

Weak points on weakend sweets bag of crisp or sweets and chocolate 50grams saturday and sunday. Is my fat content to high any naturals who compete or people who compete how bad is my diet.Feel to critise better to make mistakes now than closer to the time when its too late.CV 15-20 MINS IN THE morning 30-40 minutes evening before or after gym session.Waist 30 chest 47.4 (how small) quads 27inchs calfs rubbish 16.5 and 15.5 arms small again 17-17.25 when tensed.Paul scarbs has a pic or 2 of me but Im too dumb to post them.Diet posted as I feel that this is quiet a tight diet and I cant shed 9pounds in 4 days.I was 14st 8 but now 13st7 but thats taken awhile:rage: I go on the mirror the deeper my abs and separation etc occurs then I now im close to nailing it.Its my lower back and serratus that I really need to bring out and hams.
9pounds in 4 days thats like 2.25 pounds a day you must be losing some size.I lost 5 pounds in a week and had to increase food in take as I felt I lost some muscle as the weight lost was too rapid you must lose some mass.

Shoot for 1-2 lbs of weight loss a week only.
Do not lose any more than that or your diet is not right.
His loss was due to water and some fat, that is it.
