![]() | beginner needs a little heads up.. okay i'm 30, 5"8 and 12.5 stone. I've lost 2.0 stone from 4-5 months of dieting and now I've hit the gym. Been going once a week to start off with (man I was so sore lol). So my goal is to lose to get to a slim 10 stone and be toned so obviously I should cardio on an empty stomach right? Should I concern myself with protein shakes etc or is this too soon. I ultimately plan to go to the gym twice a week and I already do 45mins of free weights at home 3x a week. In the gym my workout routine is currently 45mins of weights and 1hr of cardio which is 2 x 24mins moderate cycling which ends with 12minute HIT at the end where I try to go beyond 80rpm for as long as possible. Now I keep reading about that fat burns at lower heart rates so here's my first question: is my cardio too intensive? should I focus purely on removing my BF before I start toning/bodybuilding or should I start pumping in the protein now AND do the cardio. I just wonder if I'm hurting myself by not having anything in the morning before my workout. your hindsight would be appreciated! |

| Wondering how people have the time to do all this over-complicating | this is a simplified way of looking at it. put in less calories than burn and you will lose even more weight. aim for around 40%protein,30%clean carbohydrates and 30% good fats. after this if you are then looking to bulk cut the cardio down to two 30min light sessions per week. do not be afraid to consume essential fats when cutting
