![]() | Hello Again Some of you might remember me a while ago about trying to lose so extra weight for a lads holiday in 3months, well i lost as much as i could. I was 6ft, 108kg and 29% bf, then for the holiday i got down to 93kg and 17% bf i was pleased, got a little tan had a wicked holiday met someone who is now my girlfriend, everyone was giving comments on how good i looked and actually said i looked muscley :tongue10:, which i must say i did compared to how i was. Anyway its been nearly 3months since holiday and i been with my girlfriend, eating all the wrong foods and not working out as much as i should, I am now 99kg dont know bf, but everyone hasnt noticed the weight gain but i have.So i have decided to do a quick fix before a bulk cycle, I have started the atkins diet(always worked for me) brought some Hydroxycut, and dropped all weights and doing 4 to 5 times a week on cardio, but i hate running so i have taken pscarbs approach and doing a 40min walk at high incline and good pace. I burnt 470kcal in 40mins to get an idea of pace i was working at, should i be working harder? I was also going to try do some fast paced rowing for 10 or 20mins to make my cardio sessions an hour. Do you think this combination of atkins, hydroxcut, at walking will work, or its not a good combination? Im hoping this will be a nice 4-6week solution so i can get back down to 93kg or 90kg would be nice so i can Bulk from there. Any ideas or tips? |

Firstly remember not to drop calories too drastically, this will mean muscle as well as fat loss. You will need a very high protein intake to stop any muscle loss as excessive cardio can be catabolic but 4-5 x per week at a low intensity should be fine. As far as cardio is concerned it is usually what works best for you. I find a mixture of low-intensity (For me I have to get to about 75-80% of heart rate max) and HIIT works best for me. Don't read to much into the 'calories burnt' monitor on gym cycles/treadmills etc It is almost impossible to tell how many calories you have burnt in a cardio session, some machines will give you a very approximate guess but can vary considerably due to things like metabolism etc. Best of luck, Jock |
