![]() | Recently when squatting or running up hills etc. I've been getting a really sharp, hot almost pain along the outside rear of my right leg just above the ankle along the side of the calf. At first wasn't too bad but when it does come on in the middle of a squat now it stops me in my tracks. Anyone had this or any ideas about it? I've tried resting it for a few weeks but still comes around. I'm missing those heavy squats  |

![]() | Re: Back of ankle/calf pain Sounds like pain in the peroneus brevis or longus mate. Possible due to excessive supination. have you got a history of ankle sprains? Orthotics can help long term, rest ice and a bit of massage can help short term. go see a podiatrist for orthotics and a physio or sports massage therapist for the manipulation. K |
