Re: liver problems (any ideas)

We had a chat about this in the lab today, and someone is bringing me in a paper on elevated ALT tomorrow.

Coffee, smoking, being overweight, exercise and just the process of eating can have the amino transferases be elevated (GGT,AST and ALT).

Ive read that heavy training raises the levels and high protien diets, so basicaly every bbuilders alts must be of the chart....

Look forward to hearing bout this, thanks. I don't suppose you, or anyone here knows what the normal CK range is since ive supposed to of had some Renal failure last month or so. Can't recall if it was from this ( i know it indicates skeletal/muscle damage though ) or he high urea and creatinine which the consultant believed caused it. Despite my specialist Dr telling me these are normal for us bodybuilders. Im going to speak to him when i can about this though 'cos it all has me thinking somewhat and to the point of saying to myself this term normal for bodybuilders--does that mean still ok and not an issue etc.

These GP's want us all to live as saints with no what one may call vices despite feeling as healthy and fit as ever.

Re: liver problems (any ideas)

Well finally got some good news at last and my ALT levels have dropped from 168 to 117 so very happy with this as it has been going in the wrong direction for too long..

I think this level is about right for a bbuilder as high protein, training and many other factors to do with this game come in to it.. what do you think??

A normal persons levels should be about 9 - 55 ish

Any thoughts???
