I got stabbed through my left shoulder. It was a deep wound and now has healed but it has left a big scar. Sometimes when I am training I can feel my tendons grating against the scar tissue internally, it almost feels like the scar tissue is pushing them out of place. Con, do you think that deep tissue work could help this? | |

Good deep massage and Ultrasound can limit the amout of tissue damage, but it will always be a weak point. Geo

Its well worth it. |

![]() | Re: scar tissue right just got back and i dont have a trapped nerve, its a sprained ligament in the top of my asre. i dont know if this has anything to do with potential scar tissue through injecting as i didnt mention it. it is a 2 week rest from weights and plenty stretching and swimming to ease off.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: scar tissue scar tissue can be painful and sometimes limiting to movement to the damaged area!!! scar tissue is a result of damage to normal healthy tissue cells,tendons/ligaments and most cells that can heal up....leaving scarring....this tissue can be massaged and as previously said if the damage is minor, ultrasound can be used to break down some of the scar tissue and promote collagen synthesis and stretching...but this is of minimal proportions...if the damage is on a large scale or big area of the tissue i'm afraid scar tissue is a result of repeated stress and damage to the area and will be there for as long as a new scientific breakthrough happens where new healthy cells can rebuild or replicate without scarring!!!! hope its not anything permanently de-abilitating to you...pain up your left side spine and to your buttock...could be nerve damage? you should seek medical attention, get professional advice/help!!! |
