![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Injury From Good Mornings Hi All I started doing Good mornings about 2-3weeks ago to help stretch my hams and strengthen my lower back, and for the past few days if i stand up and lean foreward or sit down and lean foreward i get a really bad pain in my lower left glute like its really being pulled. Because of this its making silly thinks like leaning foreward to put socks on or even getting out of bed difficult. Can any one shed some light on whether i have pulled a muscle or trapped a nerve etc and what i can do to help it or if it will just go on its own in a few days or so. Cheers |

They're a fcuking great exercise if done properly. I'd wait to see if the pain subsides & try lowering the weight a bit.

I certainly have no lower back issues since I started doing them. Light is the key I never go above 30k. I suppose you could have pulled your glute doing them but I think its possibly unrelated.

You need to do some sciatic nerve stretches, do a search on google, it will give you pictures. Good mornings should always be done light and slow, I love them but they are brutal. I never go heavy in those either.
