thigh injury

i refelted the GF`s roof the other week and didnt use any knee pads!
day after that my knee cap felt kinda numb, but it didnt seem bad enuff not to train.
i train shin height rest pause trap bar deads(lol mouthful)every workout due to a back prob and the knee thing never seemed bad enuff to stop.
it did get worse cos getting up out of a chair and pushing myself up became very uncomfortable as did walking but it was ok once i was going...
doing deads was fine too for some reason altho iwas real careful.
anyhoo i worked my way up to my pb-
hit it(well chuffed)added 0.5kg next workout and instead of the usual 20 i failed on no.7.
there was absolutely no push in my thighs at all.
that was 10 days ago and my thighs feel as if ive damaged the attach points at knee and hip for the thigh muscles.

is this likely?
what else could i have done?
i`m using cissus quadrangulus in the hope of it helping, but other than my usual stretching routine and resting it completely, is there owt else i can do to help things along?

nice one.
