lol. Just returned home following the op, and the pain is immense.
I was on morphine during my stay however, I got a bit greedy and had too much causing me to develop morphine sickness which involved a lot of throwing up and fainting.
Always have to learn the hard way don't I.
The op was a success, but I really feel rough at the moment.
Thaks for all the well wishes guys....

For some reason that doesn't surprise me one bit! Good luck with the recovery.

Re: Hernia

Speedy recovery!

Hernia, isn't that a hole in the abdomen wall where you bits and bobs are falling out?

Mine was just above the button paul. I must say, although the pain is quite bad, the painkillers do do their job very well, and all in all, it is nowhere near as bad as I though it would be.
Paul, check pm's

Re: Hernia

Well, glad to know the opperation went pretty smooth.
It must have heart to throw up after the surgery?
Muscle contraction comes to mind here

Good luck big man.

Re: Hernia

A good six inchesfrom just below my ribs/top of the abs, down to the top half of my belly button. They glued it rather than stitching it so it may not scar as bad....Not too worried anyway as I'm getting my kids names done in olde english writing round my navel area
