Do you alternate handgrips on Deadlifts??

Ok guys as the title said I am looking to see if people alternate their handgrips on deads. I know if you do them sumo style it is both overhand grip in between the knees and if you do traditional outside the knees that it is one over and one under. Do you switch which hand is over and which hand is under from time to time to get equal develoement or does this not matter. Thanks

No. I just grab it overhand. That's most comfortable and works for me. I have never like the conventional deadlift grip. A powerlifter might correct me, but for my own personal use a simple hold works just fine.

i do use an alternate hand grip.....

u wanna wait and see what jenkins big pete and big have to say on deadlifts they are the powerlifers on here... well big is a wanna be but the other 2 are sound

So DB when you use alternate grip do you switch which hand is over and which hand is under ever or stay the same everytime

I use alternate grip. Right hand is always overhand, left hand always underhand.

Do whatever makes you strongest.

thats funny, if using alternate grip i have my right underhand and my left over , and im not left handed. if i've got straps i'll use overhand though.

In traditional deadlifts go to the left of your knees if you looking in the mirror. Sumo they go to the right of the knees. This isn't a very good decription. Can somebody help me out here to tell help TS

i alternate my alternated grip with each set - not really sure why i do this but its something i've done from the start without thinking about it, works well for me

i do semi-sumo and i keep my hand alternated left hand under right hand over. i found that if u use a double overhand grip on sumo it pulls the bar into ur legs (sume may say that what u want) but if ur useing a well knerled bar its gonna cost u a bomb in plasters and trousers.
