Do yourself a favour look at some of the other posts in this forum, people have introduced themselves given information about their lifestyle, their training their diet, their job etc etc. All you have said is that your are overweight and you want to compete as a bodybuilder, that doesn't give anyone much to go on does it?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What is your job/occupation? why do you want to get into shape? what do you already know about bodybuilding? do you eat well? do you do cardio? Have you used supplements? Where do you train? What is your favourite colour? Come on son use your imagination. If you can't be @rsed to take the time to give us just a few small details about yourself then I severly doubt you will have the patience to compete. Sorry to sound harsh mate but from the look of your posts you don't really sound serious....

![]() | about me Well I am a student just left school going to college. I want to get in shape for my self and prove people wrong about me getting in shape because they say I'll never do it. I know to get lean it's not about the amount of cardio you do it's the intensity. Now I don't eat well but when I get a job I'm going to buy all the food I need. The only supplements I am going to use when I'm going to train are lean system 7 and nutro sports protien powder. I am going to train at mike's gym it's not a fancy gym it's a dungeon. The kind of gym the 70's bodybuilders trained in. Ha and my favorite colour is green. My diet when I start to train is going to consist of 12 power foods which are as follows: The Power 12 Foods 1) Almonds and Other Nuts eaten with skins intact. 2) Beans and Other Legumes 3) Spinach and Other Green Vegetables 4) Dairy: Fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese 5) Instant Oatmeal: Unsweetened, unflavored 6) Eggs 7) Turkey and other lean meats. Lean steak, chicken, fish 8) Peanut Butter - All-natural, sugar-free. 9) Olive Oil 10) Whole-Grain Breads and Cereals 11) Extra-Protein (Whey) Powder 12) Raspberries and Other Berries Last edited by PK GRAPPLER; 15-08-2005 at 05:18 PM. |

But if you control insulin you will have it half licked. First off welcome to the board and for 16 you seem quite smart. Ok onto the diet. There are many diets to choose from but for the most part lets just cover 2 of them. First a ketogenic diet like Atkins works very well for most. 12 weeks and you will be down big time in fat loss. Start out by eating only 20 grams of carbs a day or less. You can have as much protein and fats as you want like eggs, meat, chicken, etc for protein sources. Whole cream protein shakes are ok too and nuts that are high in fat like macadamia and cashews are ok. You can eat as much protein and fat as you want. Quite simple huh? Next diet is the zone. You will need to figure you how much protein you need and then base all your macronutrients around the protein. Total calories will look something like this. 40/30/30 this is the total calories in carbohydrates/protein/fats 1 gram of carbohydrates = 4 calories 1 gram of protein = 4 calories 1 gram of fat = 9 calories. The zone is a bit technical but you can find some read me’s on this forum and also on the net. This is probably the most healthy diet but then again the Atkins diet works very well and you will lose a lot of water quickly at first. You will hit a plateau around week 4 or 5 but then you can add cardio to this mix and start losing again. About 4 weeks later you will hit another plateau and you can add the fat burners then. Rough draft for start. Again, welcome to the board.

I dont trust Many Doctors myself. Heck, even doctors dont trust each other. I can point you in a good direction tward a Dr that goes against the grain with other doctors if you want. Your health is your obligation, not your Doctors. It is YOUR job to do what is right in regards to health. Most Doctors treat symptoms and not cause. Case in point cholesterol. Many Doctors perscribe cholesterol lowering drugs that lower cholesterol and the very drug that they are giving out are doing more harm to people than it is helping. Liver damage, heart damage, muscle weakness, dementia, the brain needs cholesterol and blocking it can make some people mighty weird on that stuff. My point is you can learn from everybody. Keep and open mind. If you dont agree then just say so. If you feel diffrently then say why. But if you are just gonna toss some cheap shots out there just to pick on me or anybody then I will just edit your posts. Name calling wont be allowed either. I dont care if you agree with me but if you dont then articulate your opinion for all to learn and If I am wrong then by all means correct me.
