form or weight

I am new to all this so could anyone tell me if completing a set with good form or struggling a bit with more weight is best. I struggle with last set of reps for each exercise and sometimes loose form though my aching body tells me i must be doing something right. any more newbie hints and tips appreciated. (i am chugging about 250g of protein a day)

Form, use to much weight and bad form = injury and no training for a day or three

Don't compromise your form.

If you can't increase the weight each session without your form deviating, then you may need to look at your diet and/or routine.

250g of protein is good if you weigh in the 125-150lb range. I am assuming you're heavier though?

Shoot for 350g of protein a day if you're serious about growing.

What sort of foods are you eating? And what routine are you doing?

See, you already gained 5lbs ;)

Shoot for 350g+ of protein a day.

As for your sets, it depends on your entire routine. Are you able to increase weight or reps every session? List out your routine if you want specific advice about it.

**** lenny that a lot of protein. i train with gadgesxi who you have also chatted with and in fact doctored his (our) training routine so i think the routine is good but not the adding weight for each set though we are both seeing good strength gains. cheers for the advice mate will shoot for the 350g. living on tuna, protein shakes and hulkster protein bars that i made with recipe off site

As long as you are gaining, keep with the routine. Don't change a thing about it if it's working. The extra protein will help you a lot.

As soon as you stall on the routine, that's the time to change it.

Dont sacrafice form for weight.

Once you have your form down and hit the same grooves you will go up in weight.
It takes time, dont get discouraged, tomorrow will be better than today and so on.

if your new to training id say stick with form rather than weight, if youve been training seriously for more than a year and a half, using a LITTLE body english to finsih your last 1-2 reps isnt likely to kill you and just may help you through a plateau
