Switching to strenght building

Im officially back at the gym now after recovering from a back injury and now i have tennis fcking elbow but thats not gonna stop me.

Ive decided to quit mass and bodybuilding for now and switch to strenght training, now usually i dont give a sh1t about how much i can lift, but im that p1ss poor weak now i cant even do tri dips or pullups anymore or squat more than 20kilos.

Ive decided to do a 3x5 program for 8-12 weeks.

Good luck mate.

Dips, pull ups, chins etc have really helped with my strength, wide grip pull ups are the bo11ocks.

Just make sure you go all the way down with them though otherwise you're wasting your time.

Re: Switching to strenght building

I use a 5rep x 3 program for most of my heavier lifts and as using that as a mass builder I would have thought you would be better doing sets of 3's

its similar to 5x5 but if your new to the game and have only just started then its probably better to do less volume, less stressful and less chance of probably getting burnt out but still allowing you to use heavy loads, thats just the conslusion ive come to.
