![]() | Seated Or Standing Shoulder Press? Just joined a new gym (with power rack). I've previously been doing seated shoulder press on the smiths machine:crazy: . But seeing as the new gym has got a power rack, I was wondering if is should continue with the seated shoulder press (with olympic bar using power rack) or go for standing, with power rack? I'm presuming standing will introduce more core stability. What do yiz reckon? |

Putting a lot of weight on a bar, lifting it over your head with explosive power and holding it there before lowering it slowly is one of the most anabolic exercises you can do. Very useful for core strength, power and overall mass. Deadlifts and squats can injure you too. Heck, curls can if you do them badly enough. It's all about knowing what you're doing and being safe. | |
