![]() | Please help Hi, I would really appreciate some help from you guys, after a serious shoulder injury i now feel stable enough to start to get back into shape. I've been going to the gym for the last month or so and would like to clarify some things with you lot. Firstly i've been taking protein shakes after workouts, is this recommended baring in mind i'm also trying to lose a little fat which was gained during the time i was out injuried, i'm no rick waller but i have a little fat around the hips lower stomach that i'd like to lose. I weigh pretty close to 13 stone and am 6foot. Also (this may be the wrong forum) but i would like some help with a diet, i'm quite a picky eater so it's harder for me than for others :p Typical days food: 8AM - 2 weetabix semi-skimmed Milk 11AM - two ham/chicken/beef sandwiches 2PM - two ham/chicken/beef sandwiches 6PM - Jacket potatoe, beans chicken/turkey Then protein shake after work-out what are your opinions on that bearing in mind i'm trying to lose weight also. I do weights Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Sunday with cardio in between. Ideally i'd like a defined look rather than a 'bulk' look, hope i've included everything. Please please help! Cheers. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | welcome Kendo86. Yes you should defo have a protein shake after a workout. Within about 40 mins. Ideally with some carbs with a high glycemic rating. This will get nutrients to your battered muscles. You need to decide what to do first. I mean lose fat or gain muscle. Your not going to gain a muscle if your not eating enough. Have a look in the diet section. ![]() |
