My Routine.......

Hi gang,

Just shaken up my training a bit, this is the new routine, what do you think? am I missing/overdoing anything? (I may have got the names of some things wrong)

Workout 1

Widegrip lat pulldown/pullup
Close grip pulldown/pullup
Seated Row
Seated Row incline (pulling diagonally down)
Bent over row alternate (dumbells)
Bicep curls (dumbells)

Workout 2

Bench press
Bench press incline
Dumbell Flyes
Dips
Overhead dumbell tricep push
Tricep pushdown

Workout 3

Deadlifts
Squats
Leg press

Workout 4

Shoulder press dumbells
Shoulder press smith machine
Side raises
Front raises
Shrugs behind
Shrugs infront

I have four different workouts, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week so each one gets done once every 5-7 days. I change the order that I do the exercises within the routines every time. The workouts take no longer than 45 minutes. The first week I work doing 8 rep maxes, then the next week I keep the same weight but aim for 10-12 reps, then the next week I up the weight and do 8 reps again, and so on.

Most weeks this works so I am constantly increasing my weights.

Can't think of anything else so......what do you think?:o

That's the main thing, and it's all that really matters quite frankly. It means the routine is working for you.

Personally I think you have too many similar movements in there, and are doing far too much for smaller muscles, especially delts.

But if you're gaining on this, don't mess with the routine at all until you stall.
