Legs, advice needed :)

Ok upper body is coming on nicely.. but my legs are big and are holding quite a bit of fat (from when i was big)

I rarely work legs because of this, i dont want them to get any bigger.

My cardio consists of:

30 minutes cross trainer, 30 minute incline walk (treadmill)

I do this on a tuesday and a thursday.

Should introduce another days cardio? with light leg weights maybe?

Or stop the low intensity cardio and start running?

any help or advice appreciated

id say if you dont do legs, then add in a legs session!!!!

even something like 100rep leg extensions supersetted with 100 ham curls and some very light work. thatll get your breathing and heart goin good cardio and start you on the way to have legs to be proud of

*BUMP* squats. What about performing squats, followed by straight leg deadlifts? That'll ensure your hamstrings get hit adequately and because they're both excellent compound exercises you should get a wicked afterburn, too. I think that would be beneficial if your goal is to improve definition and you could always finish off with some cardio.

First thing there is no such thing as spot reducing, so if your legs are fatter than you want them you will have to diet down to remove this unwanted fat.

If you are doing incline treadmill then your hamstrings and glute will get hit pretty good.

I would recomend squats too and I if you worry about your legs getting too but then I would run Bleachers (stairs).
This gives you the benefits of running down the stairs too and this will help develop the legs too, unlike the stair machines.
