![]() | The old rep range debate I was thinking?? What is the best way to train whilst trying to cut down on body fat, whilst trying to keep all possible muscle and keep strength to a maximum?? Assisted (obviously )....What are your thoughts?? and reasons?? Low reps/higher weight for strength keeping? high reps/lower weight for higher calorie burn and less chance of injury?? I am very intrigued to see what people do?? and what works? |

I'm going to be starting some weight loss work in my weights in a few weeks, am looking for the lower weight higher reps for it. Looking at sets going along the lines of 10,10,15,15,20 (the 10s for warm up) and then follow the 15,15,20 for the exercises. Gonna have a see how that goes!

I know alot of people use higher reps for cutting / pro's too. But I find low reps high weight alot better.....it works for me and I suppose thats all that counts. For me, keeping strength is just as important, considering my goals ar eto enter a PL in the next 12 months. |
