Weight Gain

Hi Guys,

been training for a while now and seriously am struggling to put on weight. im a very tall guy and slim build and literally want to just put some weight on. i have put on a bit of weight but im genuinely really struggling. i wont lie. im sure if i ate more protein etc it would really help, but is there any way in which i can put weight on without having to worry about eating every few hours or so?

with the weight that i lift, i dont think i could increase it at the moment. i struggle to lift it after set 3...

any help appreciated,

Yes Jezza,

To gain, you're going to need around 6 at least.

Re: Weight Gain

You will need to double the meals your are currently eating if you expect to make gains...IMHO...

Yep. You can't build a house with no bricks - same with your body.

Eat little and often. If you train HARD, you will feel hungry anyway.

yes you can use a homemade weight gainer:

Blend the following

100g oats
1 banana
70g whey*

plus take a few fish oils with it or add in a little peanut butter

* A milk protein concentrate and whey protein concentrate 50/50 mix is far superior, whey was penciled in too keep costs down

Thats my new meal replacement but only for when I really cant get a meal in.

"Working all day" is no excuse at all. If you want to put on weight realise you are going to have to change your lifestyle. Your current lifestyle isnt allowing you to grow.

Entering this thinking all i need to do is neck a bit of powder a couple of times a day and ill grow is going to get you nowhere. Post up your current days diet, weeks training routine and be TOTALLY honest. Also how much sleep are you getting ? Be honest and we can easily get your gaining weight in no time aslong as you are willing to put in the effort.
