![]() | AM or PM??? I have seen some threads on this before but cant seem to find any now. I have been training evenings, about an hour after my main meal. I am thinking of changing this to train early morning. More time, more convenient. I tried this once for my last routine, I did feel good after and throughout the day. Certainly not as tired as I would be after an evening routine. Are there any reasons for or against training AM?? Lee |

![]() | Re: AM or PM??? i tried training in the morning for a few weeks but it wasn't for me i wasn't as strong and found it difficult to motivate myself. i prefer training around 5pm/6pm with 4 meals inside me. i wish i could train real early and then spend the rest of my day recovering and eating |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AM or PM??? I always train in the morning, I'm generally too knackered to train in the afternoon/evening and with the rest of the family all just monging out watching telly and stuff I tend to not get round to my workout. So generally it's up, get some oats in me then an hour later workout, followed by a shake, shower and 30 min chill. What better way to start the day!? |

| Getting HUGE! | Re: AM or PM??? training morning and evening both have good points and both can be more convieniant either in the morning or at night depeding on ones lifestyle. I.e fitting round, work, family, day to dat duties, shift work etc. Test levels are high from about 7-9am and 5-8pm at night if i remember right. But also training at night means you can have at least 4/5 meals down you. If your training, and eating right, then there is no reason for you not to grow. Geo |

| Still on the first step - its huge! | Re: AM or PM??? Mornings for both. I started doing it mainly to ensure I done it as I found it harder to motivate myself once I got home from work. Now its become a habit. I dont mind getting up earlier and it really sets me up for the day. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AM or PM??? How would test levels be benificial to training ? personally I did train mornings for a while but never felt like I was giving 100%. Its about breaking down as much tissue as possible so I liek to have a full days food in me. I did feel brilliant all day when I trained in the day but it didnt outweigh how awful it felt getting up so early and dragging myself to the gym, its just not good ! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AM or PM??? I use to train in the mornings and I did not progress at all. I was training on a nearly empty stomach, half asleep and nto at all focused. I trained more to wake me up then to grow! I know training in the am is convienient as you get it out the way but then i dont see the point. When I switched to evening training after work and before my main evening meal everything changed rapidly. In the evening you have several meals inside you from the day to fuel your workouts which helps a lot. Also I spend the day planning my workouts and focusing on what im going to do. After my workout I have a post workout shake, a steak an hour later then off to bed 45 min later. |
