why do you train your abs so much? you do realise they are a muscle the same as any other in your body and the principals of overtraining apply to them as well.

Re: Tri's

I do tri's and bi's seperate if I get the days in the gym, if not I do arms on their own....I rarely do chest and tri's/bi's together unless for some reason I'm limited on gym days....

Re: Tri's

we do chest/back tris---then legs delts/bis

after bench we do dips-today 3x8 with 30k on belt=120k total
after back finish off woth 50k dbell pullovers-so bench dips and pullovers do triceps, never do kickbacks pushdowns etc and triceps are strong point -big(ish)

Re: Tri's

At the moment i have been doing

chest and biceps
back and triceps
legs and shoulders

On a monday,wednesday,friday regime.

To early to notice if its better putting tris with back or tris with chest. But im lifting heavier on my triceps then i did when with chest and im also starting to add weight to my dips which ive never done before.

no more to be said

uneven parts appear IMO after 1 -2 years of solid, logical training

Re: Tri's

Are you employing overload?

first 4 weeks of training are CNS related, then you start growing assuming you are in a calories sruplus and emplying overload.

Now, newbies have it easier but if you wish to grow:

logical training
overload
calorie surplus

Re: Tri's

Yes i have been employing overload with my chest and everything else. my bench has gone up 16kg since i started but my tris only 1kg. Since i started training tris on a different day 3 weeks ago i have already added 2kg on.

Re: Tri's

16 weeks and only 16kg added to your bench press yet you are using overload?

TBH mate you may need to re think your approach

Triceps will coe over time but nobody will build a body that has weaknesses of note in 16 weeks

personally I would forget about tricep focus, simply press, squat, dead, pull, row and rest..stay in a calorie surplus and allow time
