Unhappy newbie after some advice pls :)

Hi

im quite new to weight training, and would really like some advice and questions answered .

I'll tell you some back ground first : im 26 M,5'7, weigh 11st, slimish build. my typical daily diet is :

8.30 am - banana, protein shake and porridge oats

10am - 2 x wholemeal toast

12 - yogurt, 2 rounds of tuna or egg sandwiches on wholemeal with no marg/butter and apple

2 pm - protein shake and banana/ few cashew nuts

4.30 pm - oats or cereal

6.30pm protien shake after work out

7pm - usually what my mum has cooked - beef stew/roast dinner/ chicken /pork - usually healthy ( i never have chips )

9pm yougurt and apple

11pm glass milk and piece of toast

- - - - - - ------------------

Just after xmas i was given a weight bench, barbell and dumbells and about 90kgs of weights, from a mate who was moving abroad. i started doing barbell dumbell curls a few times a week and obviously not making any progress!
ive mainly concentrated on cardio doing HIIT 4 times a week, which tbh has left me very slim with about 15% body fat. Now i want to fill out a bit, but i dont know where to start, i do want to go to the gym but money is a bit tight until i start a new job in october, so i need to work with what i have.
The thing is i dont know where to start, and what routines to do?? I know you probably get asked this all the time so im sorry in advance, but i really need some direction, ive read so many articles on the web about different exersizes , split and compound ones that im totally confused!

i just want to get myself a good weekly routine that i will stick to religiously and make some really progress, and increase my confidence

so any advice would be much appreciated guys

Sean
