I don't like squats at all, but I do them, whereas deads I enjoy ![]() I use straps, but if I had gloves or chalk it would help a lot, as it's a question of sweaty hands and grip slipping. I have let the bar slip from my grip and carried on before and strained forearm muscles from having my fingers prised open while lifting. Not a good idea. My biggest problem with deads is not bending my knees enough and bending my back too much, which leads to a sore lower back. When I make a conscious effort to drop my butt down on the way down I'm fine. |
