![]() | slow with muscle? Hi I was told this morning that by lifting heavy weights it can slow you down. I am a competitve kickboxer and want to get leaner, stronger and faster... I have been lifting heavy but wondering whether i should stop. I alternate my training each week. 3 sets of 12 one week, following 3 sets of 18 then 3 sets of 6. i repeat then this cycle. Any advice? Are there any exercises that would particularly benefit / hinder my training? |

Olymipic sprinters train with heavy weights for low reps. To gain explosive power and speed work on doing the concentic part of the movement explosively, obviously keep the negative slow and controlled. | |
