Question Six Pack

Any tips/tricks on how to get the abs visible whilst still bulking on muscle mass?
Could a nutrition high on protein, average on carbs and very low on fat do the job?

Keep the bulk clean. If you dont have visible abs now then bulking you definatly wont. To bulk you need to have cals. If you dont its not a bulk. If you want abs then cut.

Re: Six Pack

Magic Torch is right -cardio and more cardio - then when you get bored change to a different cardio but keep it up.

Whatever you do n (whether bulking or cutting ) try to keep healthy oils in your diet! Read some of PSCarbs excellent tips on this site.

If you are currently including so called low fat products try cutting them out. They are often full of wheat biproducts that cause bloating....... worth a try- it worked for me!

I thought so, but I just got slayed on another thread for doing too much CV and not getting any days of rest (that is in order to increase muscle size).
At the moment I do weights 3 days a week and cardio 3 days a week and 1 day swimming (not sure if you would consider that cardio too).
To be fair, I did lose lots of weight, but that is because I was a fat bastard. now I am average and finding it very difficult to lose any more fat.

Thanks for the tips. I do try to keep the healthy oils (I have nuts and seeds, peanut butter, fish) but I do have plenty "low fat" products, such as yoghurt or cheese. How can I find out if they are bad? how would these wheat biproducts appear on the ingredients list?

Google it mate. Type in cals in food and it will come up. People can stay lean all the time but they will always put on abit of fat. Read up some cutting techniques like carb cycling etc. If your stuck at a poin then something needs to change. The way i see it is get to the bf you want. Then start bulking, you will notice alot more at a lower bf that you are putting on fat. Its harder to notice at the higher end.

BRABUS is a jewel in the roughBRABUS is a jewel in the rough
Re: Six Pack

Missing out one thing here. To have Abs show through when bulking they have to be developed just like any other muscle. Ive seen marathon runners with real low bodyfat yet no Abs.
Its always a good base to bulk from a dieted down state and then you can better monitor your increase in fat levels.

Now if your dieted down and your abs arent exactly ABS if you know what i mean then get some crunches in and thicken that ab muscle, ie develop it. Then as you bulk the muscle will show through the bulk a bit better, although not to a cut level

Re: Six Pack

good point brabus, thanks
one question here, when you do your ab workouts, do you do more reps/sets than other muscles? would that make sense?

Correct and because:

I have trained years, 10-15 to be more realistic
I have cycled cutting and bulking when I cannot do both togther, which stops at about 11/12 stone
I eat an immaculate diet
I am hyper anal about everything I do
I dont devalue what it takes to have a good physique
I have educated myself
I dont dream
I dont search for the holy grail and forget the basics
I dont look to others achievements to justify my shortcomings
I have sacraficed certain lifestyle choices I enjoy
I dont drink alcohol
I do cardio daily

Not all of those are required but to think you are going to get huger and ripped at the same time is

time
