![]() | 'Beginner' seeking for advice Hi guys. Just want to ask some questions about muscle building. My situation is a bit weird. I try to build muscles at home without any equipment because I'm only 17 and I find it odd to ask to go to the gym. Of course, I wouldn't expect some rock-hard, bulging muscles. All I want is to put some muscles to my frame as I'm kinna skinny. The concept I simply stick to is whatever workout I choose to employ, I make sure it is to the intensity that the muscle group I focused on will get fatigued the following day. Again the workout is really simple. A cycle usually lasts for 6 days, depanding on the time of recovery.: Day1 - Chest workout (push-ups with feet lifted up by a chair- people told me that it would work better with a chair) Day2 - Rest Day3 - Legs workout (riding bicycle machine which belongs to my mother or just keep on jumping to make muscles fatigued) Day4 - Rest Day5 - Back workout (do push-ups the other way round- i.e. with chest facing the ceiling) Day6 - Rest I know the whole workout is sort of peculiar, esp. the back one. I have never been told to perform such thing to train back muscle group (probably the lats I guess). But I somehow feel the muscles at the back get fatigued the following day which makes me think that it is useful. Please give me some suggestions if you can =) Btw, I think there is some knowledge behind push-ups, like the distance between the arms will affect the shape of the chest muscles developed. May I ask for some advice on that as well. Thx a lot. |

![]() | Re: 'Beginner' seeking for advice Go to a gym before you hurt yourself , post your area and peps on here will advise you of good gyms near you . Dont be affraid to go to a gym they will welcome you with open arms and teach you anything you wish to learn . Not all gyms are like the main street ones , some only charge £3 a session depending on your situation moneywise it may be worth while going to a gym once a week and Im sure they would help you learn a routine at home using your own body weight push ups , squats dips ( using a chair ) leg raises, lunges (with a weighted object in each hand ) . on a foot note I would stop doing the push up for your back my mind boggles and fear you may injure yourself |

There's a site called bodyweightculture (i think) that's great if you dont have access to weights. Have a look for it. Also, ive always been told, lifting heavy weights makes you strong, eating! is what makes you big. You have to have your diet nailed. |
