Front Squats

Hi guys, im currently doing the following excersises per week but i'm finding the front squats very hard/uncomfortable. Can anyone suggest something to do instead of them but that would also be a compound?


Upper 1 - 4x8
Bench Press
Chins
1 arm bench rows
Military press

Lower 1 - 12x3
Back squat
Deadlift
Clean & Press
Calfs

Upper 2 - 3x12
Incline DB Press
BO row
Chins
Bench dips

Lower 2 - 4x8
Front Squats
Goodmornings
cleans & press
Calfs,

How are you resting the bar on front squats?

You could do:

Walking lunges
Spilt Squats
DB Squats

I seem to be resting it on the top of my chest, it just seems uncomfortable.

You need to rest it in the grove your shoulders make when raised so it sits near your neck. They are one of the most uncomfortable exercises know to man

Yeh, cheast shouldnt really come into it unless you have some fcuk off mad development in the clavicualr fibres

i dont think it is sore at all rest it just across your delts.

i think keeping form on the front squat is somewhat easier.

Paulo - Lower back will be nearer vertical and thus will be doing less work, not sure if its less dangerous?!
