Pain in forearms

Guys and girls.

I'm having abit of trouble at the moment and hoping you guys can help? When I work my biceps I get a pulling pain all down the outside of my forearms, i have always had this problem and sometimes it hinders my workouts on my arms as it hurts so much... Does anybody know why this is and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Thanks

Re: Pain in forearms

I have the exact same problem, i pressume the pain occurs during barbell curls and when you release the bar after completing a set. I still do barbell curls and just put up with the pain, try other exercises like ez-bar preacher curls and dumbell curls I personally get no pain from doing those.

One of my friends, who im sure doesnt understand the pain gave me some friendly advice "Its cos your forearms are S**t you fanny train them and you'll be alrite". I actually started doing this and it has helped quite abit, i still get the pain but not as bad and only during barbell curls

Re: Pain in forearms

Its a common problem alot of people get. Forearms are not strong enough yet so often 'give in' before your bicep is properly worked. Should go with time as your forearms get stronger!

Re: Pain in forearms

Had this twice in my life... first when I entered the gym for the first time and again after a very catabolic year or more break. I think I got again after another half year break I had.

It does go away you just have to deal with it. I felt it was down to various parts lagging behind, gripping bar way to hard and curling wrists during the movement. The last two will cause forearms to work overtime when adjusting to it all.

Used to sit there and not let go of the bar and my training partner would be hurry up. But the pain was too intense.
