Guage he best weight

can anybod advise the best way to guage the right starting weight for free weight training at home. I have all equipment but not sure what weight i should start and end with as my routine is a 10 day split with cardio inbetween days, and working groups other days with 3 sets of 12/10/8 reps.

i dont want to under or over train so any pointers please
