Re: Need a new back routine, Help please. many thanks

here is a back routine thats much better than that one

chins on a chin up bar 5 sets of 5

deadlifts 2 warm up sets then 5 sets of 5

barbell rows 5 sets of 5

you will be knackered after that lot but will hit all the back muscles sufficiently

chin to the top of the front of your shoulders as you can hurt your neck otherwise.

they are hard but easily the best exercise for back

Rack deads - just below the knee
Free weight full extention chins / close reverse grip lat pull downs
Single arm db rows / bor / yates row
lat pull downs / pull ups

reps are varied just mix it up.

The key to growth is variation
The key to strength is repetition

hip dominant.posterior chain
verticle plane
horiztinal plane
isolation

pick a rep range to suit your goals, possibly leaving out last isolation if training for strength

thats your mainstay, leave you to pick a suitable exercise for each, employ porgessive overload and change when you saturate
