Really tired, training advice please??

Hi,

I've been training for years on and off, i usually train this routine-

Monday- Chest and Tri's
Wednesday- Shoulders and Legs
Friday-Back and Bi's

I'm 12.5 stone and coming up to being 30 years old, i'm cut and have now built up to 55kg flat press which i feel is pretty good for someone my weight, that is my max press however i can do 8 reps with no problems on 50kg dumbells, i'm completely natural all i take is whey protein and creatine suppliments. . . oh and a zinc tablet a day. i dont drink or smoke either.

The reason i'm posting is that because of the intense training, i'm constantly really tired and its effecting my day to day functioning, although i'm lifting heavy weights i would like to put some more size on but i'm thinking i'm overtraining and not recovering properly.
I was wondering would it be ok to train twice a week??? something like-

Monday- Chest/ Tri's / Legs
Friday - Shoulders/ Back / Bi's

Still really heavy sets.

Would this work ok? Or have any of you got any other suggestions? I need to do something because at the moment i seem to wake up more tired than i was when i went to bed and feel like ****, i struggle to keep focused trying to fit everything in, work, girlfriend, friends, karate, gym, and the list goes on i dont seem to have enough hours in the day!!

Do some people just need more recovery time ??

Any advice would be great.

Dave

As above.

I bet your lacking in good fats, or eating too many carbs which are making you feel sluggish. I'd say it's the former though

I'll agreee, doesnt sound like overtraining on the routine. I find if I get abit liek that when Im training and not eating enough calories. I get tired even though Ive slept enough, dont have much energy etc. Solution ... I'll have a day off teh gym and just eat everything in sight for the day, have 8 hours sleep and wake up feeling brilliant ! Maybe give this a try.

Re: Really tired, training advice please??

My diet is difficult because of work and lack of money and lack of preperation time.

Could anyone suggest 3 meals that'll make me feel good that i can eat everyday and then i'll incoorperate my shakes the rest of the times. I will just eat the same thing everyday as i just eat for nessesity not really for enjoyment.

Can anyone tell me diet that is quick and easy has 3 meals a day and will supply me with everything i need and make me feel less like i'm gonna go to sleep and never wake up again. Please. are there any more suppliments i should be taking ?

Many Thanks

Dave

I think you will be fine. Keep striving to increase the weight or the reps. Consistent progression with good recovery will be there key.
