In fact, our 2nd most handsome moderator is over 40. You can make a lot of progress if you work hard. Start off by reading a lot of the stickys on the board about diet and training. Get your diet sorted, and run a sensible training routine 2-3x/week and a bit of cardio and you'll be laughing. |

| Mature Bodybuilder | Re: Am I too old You are never to old to get fitter and healthier. I have just returned to b building at the age of 52. If you want incentive to go to the gym have a real good look at other people of your age and stop it happening to you by going to the gym! Make the gym a social event , not a chore! |

When watched my first show this year i was blown away by what the over 40's and over 50's achieved. I don't mean that in a 'oh thats nice' kind of way either these people had physiques i would be over the moon with at 33 and would have been over the moon with at 20. Thing is as well where these people looked so fit i couldn't have guessed their age if i tried. Go for it you have nothing to loose and absolutely everything to gain. Cheers Colin |

![]() | Re: Am I too old Nah not too old. I'm 40 and been training since new year. I've dropped just over 2 stone but my body shape is changing too. Only thing I have noticed is that a couple of times when I've overdone it. A slight injury has taken a lot longer to get over than it would have a few years ago. |
