You sir have been mind swiped by the IFBB and Weider / AMI. Just because someone chooses not to use drugs does not make them any less successful or not as good at their chosen career. If the IFBB pros are so much "better"... Please explain how. Do think now... Anything relating to them being bigger or related to how much larger or more cut or any of that will be quickly replied to with the "It's the drugs" comment. So now, please explain why they are "better".

The IFBB is bodybuilding, you use anything to become the bigest and freakist possible on stage - thats bodybulding.

Being freaky has nothing to do with it... ESPECIALLY as a woman.

surely being the bigest and the best sets you apart from normal people and its ultimate expression is in being "freaky." you use anything to acheve this state and thats what was always rewarded in comptions be it mass or conditioning.

Didn't he just say it's about the biggest and the freakiest? What is that if it's not "Muscle Worship"?

The Mr. Olympia used to be on broadcast television and now all it garners is a webfeed. That is backwards, not forwards for the sport. Apparently your way of thinking has done nothing but make bodybuilding a sideshow.

Bodybuilding is being freaky and big, anything less is just asking to get beat man or woman if your being judged fairly and not on how pretty you are. What are you saying that because I think that bodybuilding should be extreem it makes me a muscle worshiper? surely that condems the majority of people that are intrested in bodybuilding? What i see as suspisous is people going to see men with hardly any development in oil and a poseing pouch... whats the deal with that?

Whats the point in doing anything within boundaries its within peoples nature to explore the out limits of development by whateever method avaible. Also what golden age are you talking about guys from the 50s onwards took drugs? you want pre 50s bodybuilders on stage? I dont get it who would pay to see that? Bodybuilding has always been a side show, when was it ever mainstreem? Last edited by wogihao; 14-05-2008 at 12:29 AM.

Why do you think the IFBB just created a 202 lb class for men? Why do you think the UKBFF has dropped a lot of its regulations that you can only compete in the UKBFF? Because the other feddies are so popular in the UK. Why do you think the UKBFF has created a 'classic bodybuilding' category? Why do you think the IFBB has told the girls to come in 20% smaller for the last 2 years? Why do you think that some people like John Romano are calling for drug testing in FBBing and that some of the smaller, more feminine women like Brett Miller are being called 'the future of female bodybuilding'? Why are you even posting on a UK BBing board if you think that UK bbing is just 'not worth the time to go and watch'? Have you even been to ANY bbing comp?

Ok, so you don't like that that an IFBB pro from the UK has said that. I think I will listen to what Lee Priest and Victor Martinez told me, they both think that women should be nattie.

Everyone thinks the size game has gone so far and destroyed anything pleasing about the bodys which the current pros are bringing to the stage. The under 202 class was designed SPECIFICALLY to help reign in the overusage of some of the drugs and help get the sport more mainstream. Basically, since the late 80s when it became all about size, the sport has seen nothing but a downward trend. Guys like Rusty Jeffers bring what I believe to be the best package to the stage almost every time and yet can't break the top 10. It's sad.

Further what makes actualy atending the show so important? I dont understand what information I can gain about my comption from actualy atending in person compared to watching photographs or dvds of the event later.
