Carbs OR Protein?

How many calories should I piling down my cakehole above my daily calorific need?

Also, once I've made my target in Protein for the day, should I bulk out the diet with more carbs or what?

Thanks for the help, I think my other thread was a bit overly-complex. I didn't get ANY replies... :(

Re: Carbs OR Protein?

I haven't read the other thread you posted but I'm guessing you are complicating things too much.

Just stick to the basic rules and all is well, diet wise. It's really easy I think.

Eat nutrient dense good quality food, regularly throughout the day, plenty of chicken, steak, chops, milk, fish, etc...lots of fruit and vegetables, oats, potatoes, complex carbs and a good slurp of olive oil - you'll be grand with that. Throw a few protein drinks down your neck when needs be but don't come to rely on them. Have a few cheats on weekends by all means, it won't compromise what you are doing in the week.

Don't worry about counting calories or any of that business, its unnecesary for the likes of you and me.

Trust me - this works.
