inner chest Q

Is there any exercise that targets the inner chest. I workout at home and have 2 benches one with a lat pulldown

so no fancy cable cross over’s I normally do flat bench, incline, decline, flyes etc

does anyone know of a good exercise to target this area

cheers

Re: inner chest Q

hi mate

give 2-3 years to get a thick chest, no quick fixes

ensure hand spacing is correct on the barbell and ensure pec recruitment takes place in the right rep range, eat weel, rest and be patient

lose the idea of upper, inner, outer, higher, lower, west, east and fcuking north chest

train it as a unit for 2-3 years

flat bench (DB/BB)
as above but on incline
wide dips
one lesser movement cycled in and out such as flys/cable work

Re: inner chest Q

I always hear things going back and forth about wether you can hit certain parts of the chest. Personally from my reading I dont belive you can really hit a certain part of it.

Your muscle contracts as one, as a unit. Try and flex a cetain part of your bicep, you cant do it. I understand the theory of why certain moves might hit upper or lower chest but I dont really believe theres much in it really.

the problem of many

ensure also you recruit the chest on chest exercises. plenty manage to take the chest out of benching through going too narrow with hand position or too heavy with the weight and using assisting muscle groups over the chest
