![]() | Homegyms Hi all. I am considering buying a homegym as i am finding it increasingly difficult to get to the gym due to two young kids and working nights. Are there any particular brands/types which are better than others? any links would be good ![]() Opinions please. |

| It's what you do on the outside that makes you | Re: Homegyms in terms of opinion, nothing stops you getting a cheapy bench with a leg extension on it then use dumbbells and barbells for the rest, thats my current situation and ive made alot more progress than in the gym, but i think thats more down to motivational changes really get my bench from argos, £30, flat and incline for chest workouts and then a simple leg extension on the end the leg extension has a weight limit of 35kg but ive got him to 60kg so far with no issues the only problem is then is paying out a good £100 for weight plates to make sure you arent limited, theres nothing more irritating than being able to lift more than you got

| aka Jimmy | Re: Homegyms power rack is a must for a home gym, you can do EVERYTHING in them, plus you can push yourself safely too, because of the safety bars etc.

| It's what you do on the outside that makes you | Re: Homegyms completely agree with the power rack, but i dont think they come with the weights etc im sure though at the end of the day free weights are the way to go, assisted by a power rack if you can afford it, i mean you can get a home gym but they are so limited to their workouts

Done. 600-800 all in for decent quality kit. for example heres a rack with chin and dip bars, option of a hi pulley. BodySolid kit is not the worlds best BUT we had a BodySoild rack in Results Gym for 3 years, used by everyone for everything (including pin pulls way over 300kg, heavy squats etc) with no problems at all. As far as I know its still there another 2 years on This is the one we had... http://www.gymratz.co.uk/weight-trai...nt/item453.htm but it is no longer available :( I'm sure bs will have replaced it with something v similar, have a look.
