hi all !!

hi all i'm new to the board. i've been training on and off for 6 years due to work and not havin gym partner as didn't have the push at the time to train on my own.

but trainin hard now for 3 years due to new lifestyle and got to stay in shape.

i would like to compete for first timers but don't know how to go bout it.
my diet is clean and i'm strict with it. i've dabbled in gear in the past so not afaid do it again.

i'm 5'4 currently 10 half stone (66kg)
waist 32"
chest 42"
biceps 15"
thigh 21 half "

my diet
9am : 250ml orange juice, 60g oats, 5 egg whites, 2 yolks, banana, 350ml skimmed milk blended up, muti vitamin, teaspoon flax seed oil

11am : 40g whey protein 350ml water plain bagel

1pm : 115g turkey on 2 slices wholemeal bread, 225g low fat yogurt, green tea

3pm : tin tuna

4:30pm : preworkout, 20g whey protein 10g glutimine 350ml water, 300mg rocket fuel coffee

5pm : train

7pm : 40g whey protein 2 tbsp honey 10g glutmine 350ml water

8pm : chicken breast with much veg as i can manage

10pm : 20g casein protein 350ml skimmed milk.

i'm still unsure of how to lower or higher carbs and protein in my diet.

any help would be much appriciated

Re: hi all !!

When you say you are unsure of how to higher and lower carb intake, is this because you want to loose fat leading up to your comps ? if so look in the the loosing weight section, and look up carb cycling (timed carbs wrote by pscarb) http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/losing-we...med-carbs.html heres a link anyway hope this is of some use [/color]

Re: hi all !!

Sorry you havent had a response my friend, it doesnt look good but isnt a fair representation of the board on the whole

ok, as you have used before, you have to go in an open event so using other supplements may aid in the pursuit for mega leaness

you havent really said what you want or need to do to compete? i assume its to cut if the show is close?

as for the diet, that will not be a good long term diet to cut on

you have no carbs of note after training and manipulating carbs is essential to get very lean

when is your chosen show to be held? we can go from there

Re: hi all !!

Hi Stu...sorry I missed your first post, glad to see you stuck around...If your gonna do a show it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a show journal started and kinda lay it on the line for everybody to go over and critque for you....this is a great forum with many competitive BB who I'm sure will be happy to help...that's what everybodys here for....you will get you share of responces from lounge chair BB like me but you never know when we can pull a great idea out are a*ses, we have a tendency to follow the KISS rule and not over complicate things when they don't need to be...look forward to reading your journal soon...Cheers...

Re: hi all !!

You are already nice and lean m8, if you did choose to compete this year I could'nt see it taking that long to get yourself into comp standard.

Re: hi all !!

To be honest m8, I am not one who cannot really comment on that as I have not competed myself although if your show is not till october time you could carry on doing your current diet, training programme (For 3 months) and work on that back as you think it is one of your weak points, and then closer to the show (3 months out) start your cutting phase for the show. Just my opinion other people have far more knowledge than myself and I am sure will help you out.

Re: hi all !!

What are you currently doing for back exercises ..? please include sets and reps and rest time. Also indicate if you go up in weight between sets or stay the same...
