Re: Difference Between Chin up and Pull up

One armed pushups are much easyer though because you can do the cheat of pushing your gut to the floor or alternatly just dipping the arms a bit lol.

I think thats why one arm pullups are so hard is its almost impossible to cheat.

Re: Difference Between Chin up and Pull up

Reverse grip for bicep.
Wide regular grip for width.
Deep stretch is always good.
Best for full ROM.

You can't mean easier than two arm push-ups right? One arm pull-ups are more difficult but still easy to cheat, just do a kip-up

Re: Difference Between Chin up and Pull up

Pull ups- palms away

Chins-palms facing

And there are biomechanical differences to muscles involved

Re: Difference Between Chin up and Pull up

I'm sure i read somewher that you should always do them with palms facing you to work your back due to physiological point? Damn internet, always loads of different opinions

If i sit here and put a hand on my delts and go from palms facing away position to palms facing, there seems to be a shift of the emphasis?? Am i just nuts . . . . . probably

And yeah i agree with cookies post above

x2, esp on bent over rows and pull downs, although it involves more bicep imo I feel it more in my lats this way than palms away
