Re: Current Stats - Any weaknesses

I still don't understand how you do 142.5kg calf raises but only squat 47.5kg?

x2!! My squat was at the 140kg mark for reps and my calves are no where near those sorts of figures! What do you use to train them?

My other friend is very strong but contains lots of fat.

All of which dont even follow structured routines, just do what they want.

I dont compare myself as some of them dont perform correctly. My middle mate was doing 70kg squats, but was going knowere near para. Id rather squat 50kg and go below para then 70kg and not do it properly.

Never compare yourself to anyone, regardless of whether you know them or not. Compare self to self, check whether you are making progress compared to when you started and you will see the most important difference

Re: Current Stats - Any weaknesses

First of all good luck with your training!

Secondly friends dont let friends squat high.

people saying about the poor guys calf rase, its a standing calf rase - there almost impossible to compair because of leverage. Some are very hard and others are easy. That said there nowhere near as hard as the seated ones. so your bigest number should be standing calf rase.

My wife for example can do over 140kg on the calf rase machine standing for reps at a bodyweight of around 50kg. so I dont know what you guys are freaking out about him doing that for 5x5! my advice though would be go higher rep on the calf movements try and get 20+ reps a set there stubborn muscles and require high reps.

He already said hes building up to bigger numbers on the squat slowly and going bellow 90 degrees thats great - thats what hes suposed to be doing. I would much rather see someone with that attitude than doing the 6" bob tastic squats you see performed in most gyms.

As the kids just starting out hes got himself a decent program, and if he eats well and gets enough sleep progress is unavoidable - if he works hard.
