Dumbell weight

Hi lads as a newlad im not totaly clued up on the weights etc at the mo im training my arms with the free weights (dumbells), im lifting the 3 x 12 sets and seems to be my limit at the mo, i thought that i may have started out with a higher weight as at the mo im lifting (per dumbell 2 x 4.5kg weights plus the bar itsself) and now i feel like its quite a small amount, am i just week or is this an average weight for new lads cheers.

Re: Dumbell weight

weight is not an issue at this point in your training mate, concentrate on each muscle while performing the excercise making sure you get a pump, start off light to warm up and add weight with every set, your final set should have a weight that you can just about get 8reps out before struggling to get to the 12. keep at this weight for week or two until you have no trouble and then add some more weight, your strength will go up dude.
