![]() | Hitting all Bicep & Tricep heads I've read on here that your biceps have 2 heads & your triceps have 3 heads, possible in Big's "how to Grow thread" For Biceps I am doing Hammer Curls & normal curls, both with dumbells. For Triceps I do dips, & two types of cable press downs, one with a rope thing, palms facing & a narrow grip, the second type with a bar, palms down with a shoulder wide grip. Will these be hitting all the heads as I have read that you need to do different exercises to hit each head. Cheers James :lift: |

All it refers to is different origin and insertion points within the main muscle belly. In the gym it would be impossible to totally isolate any of the heads alone as they all work synergistically as one unit. The best advice would just be to switch around your exercises fairly regularly to keep it fresh - but you should be doing this with all muscles anyway ![]() | |

For triceps, learn to bench twice as much as you do now. Your triceps WILL grow then. For biceps, learn to row and chin twice as much as you do now. Your biceps WILL grow then. Don't worry about numbers of heads, hitting muscles from angles, isolating etc etc unless you have lost a bodybuilding competition purely due to one of the heads of your tricep not being big enough.
